Welcome

Hi everyone!

First of all, thank you for being here and checking out this space. I am hoping this can be a space for current and future clients. A space for anyone pregnant, postpartum or on a fertility journey. I see this space being a compliment to my Instagram but a space that I own, can share longer thoughts and can always live for people to refer back to easier than IG.

I plan to share birth stories, deeper dives on all the full spectrum of doula things, business updates and offerings, resources and community events. Looking forward to connecting with people in this new way.

You can learn a little more about me under ‘Meet Sally.’

But I thought it would be fun to do a few get to know me questions to kick this blog off.

  1. What is your favorite book to read? I am a big Alice Hoffman fan so either Practical Magic or The Dovekeepers. Fav birth book is Birth Without Fear by January Harshe.

  2. What is your favorite podcast? Obsessed with The Birth Hour. No surprise there. I have been listening since before I was a doula and have relistened to most episodes.

  3. If you could live anywhere, where would it be? Lately I have very into the idea of living somewhere on the coast in New England. An beautiful old house surrounded by some trees or woods but not far from the water, could have a garden and some animals but also close to town for cute shops and coffee.

  4. What is your favorite family tradition? Cookie baking extravaganza for Christmas. I’m looking forward to sharing and passing this tradition down to my son as he gets bigger.

  5. What is your favorite thing about your job? Seeing the transformation of families as they go through birth and postpartum is so rewarding. Those first few moments after baby is born are always incredible no matter what kind of birth. You literally see women born into moms and men born into dads and see the look of joy, love, relief, excitement. It is always such an honor to support people and hold that space during this transformational and intimate time. Working with families postpartum, that moment when I can see the confidence blossom in them and they feel rested, nourished, loved and cared for is incomparible.

I would love to hear from you below what you would like to see on this blog and let me know something fun about you, as well!
